I will walk you through my academic journey from graduate school to a tenured faculty position. Reflecting upon the past 15 years, I will highlight the recurring theme of uncertainty, and how it arose in unexpected ways along the way. I will talk about how uncertainty can be a significant source of mental stress and how I’ve tried to understand it and navigate it in different ways.
